ST. URBANS-HOF Ökonmierat Nik Weis

The Estate

Weingut St. Urbans-Hof was founded in 1947 by Nicolaus Weis.

It is known for its outstanding portfolio of vineyards stretching along the Mosel and Saar Rivers. The estate's holdings include many of the region's crown jewels, world-class parcels with renowned names like "Piesporter Goldtröpfchen", "Leiwener Laurentiuslay" and "Ockfener Bockstein." The wines demonstrate the lightness, elegance and spice for which the Mosel is known. This reflects a strong focus on work in the vineyard, yet in the cellar the approach is rather "hands-off".

The estate is a member of the Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter (the Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates, abbreviated VDP).
